IMDEA Water is a non-profit research Institute, promoted by the Regional Government of Madrid, to carry out research in water technologies. Description
IMDEA Water Foundation needs to fill a position of Senior Project Manager.
The contract is partially funded by the Water4All program; this project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe under Grant Agreement no. 101060874.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of competitive national and European projects, as well as consulting contracts with national and international institutions.
- He/She will work in close coordination with the principal investigators throughout all phases of the project lifecycle: from proposal preparation and review of legal and administrative aspects of contracts, to the organization of meetings, implementation, monitoring, results reporting, and accountability.
- The role focuses on administrative, financial, and project management tasks, as well as on the finalization of proposals and reports, whose content must be understood and effectively communicated, without assuming responsibility for their scientific or technical content.
- These tasks will be carried out in coordination with the IMDEA Water management team and may include the responsibility of training and supervising staff under their direction, as well as performing other duties of a similar nature as assigned by their supervisors.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree EQF Level 7 (MECES 3) in Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related areas and (in the case of a Bachelor’s degree) a Master’s degree in Project Management, Water Resources Management or related disciplines
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in research and the management of international research and consultancy projects.
- Advanced level of spoken and written Spanish and English.

Conditions
Employment contract full-time: 37.5 hours/week
Annual gross salary: between 35.000 – 40.000 €, depending on experience
Approximate incorporation date: July 15th, 2025
Type of contract: contract for scientific-technical activities under article 23-bis of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation until the end of the project.
