The scope of work for the individual consultant includes but not limited to the following
- The Engineer will assist in undertaking planning activities including preparation of reports thereof on water supply and sanitation;
- Contribute to review of designs of water supply and other hydraulic systems including production of drawings and specifications, bill of quantities, participating in supervision of construction of water supply projects and other hydraulic investments;
- Assisting the Project Manager in the review of invoices, payment certificates and other data that may be needed for financial management and reporting;
- Verify all Consultant’s and Contractor’s claims for payment;
- Ensure that reports at all stages are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the AfDB;
- Assist coordinate all PIT activities with those of the supervision consultant, civil works contractor and all other studies and activities.
- Assist coordinate, supervise, monitor the planning and implementation of all the activities under the project and ensure that they are executed in accordance the Loan Agreement with AfDB and Project Appraisal Report;
- Assist coordinate the process of procurement, sub-project supervision at utility level;
- Attend all co-ordination meetings with the consultants and contractors to discuss progress, and to contribute to deriving suitable remedial action where necessary to address issues arising;
- Ensure preparation of quarterly progress reports for submission to the Project Manager;
- Assist prepare the Completion Report at the end of activities for submission to the Government and the Bank and
The contract will be for a duration of 36 months subject to satisfactory yearly performance. The place for the assignment is Kabwe Town.
