As a Water Engineer with Jacobs you will work alongside Project Management and Design Leads in the planning, designing, and commissioning of projects from design through construction. Working within a multi-disciplinary team you will be challenged to grow and learn in your everyday tasks, which, depending on your focus/specialty, could consist of..

  • hydraulic modeling
  • water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects
  • water treatment, collection and distribution projects
  • groundwater investigations, drilling, and well installation
  • assisting in the preparation of plans and specifications
  • performing research, technical writing, development of documentation and studies
  • data collection, processing, and analysis to support planning and design activities
  • supporting construction activities related to your designs to ensure proper construction 
  • providing on-site troubleshooting based on field conditions to including construction observation, startup and testing, and project closeout activities

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Courses, projects or internship experience indicating an interest in Water/Wastewater, Water Quality, or Water Resources

  

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  •  At least 1 year or summer internship  experience in a design /consulting environment 
  • Work Authorization is required and sponsorship may not be offered for some roles

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
