Graduate Civil Engineer / Technologist – Cape Town
Ingerop South Africa is seeking a qualified graduate Civil Engineer / Technologist to join our dynamic Water team in Cape Town. Minimum requirements include a BSc, BEng or BTech Degree in Civil Engineering. Previous work experience in the water sector will be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

With over 65 years of experience in multidisciplinary consulting engineering and project management, Ingerop South Africa is seeking a proactive graduate to join our dynamic Water team in Bellville, Cape Town. This one-year contract opportunity, with the potential for extension at Ingerop’s discretion, requires a graduate with a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering.
Job Description (Details of the position)
- Assist with the design of municipal water and sewerage infrastructure under the supervision of the project leader/ project engineers
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports, design drawings, design documentation, specifications, and Bills of Quantities under the supervision of the project leader/ project engineers
- Participate in construction contract administration and site supervision
- Coordinate with team members and support proposal/tender development
- Provide high-quality service to clients and support internal project teams
Experience, Qualification and Skills
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- BSc / BEng / BTech degree in Civil Engineering
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information
- Commitment to continuous learning and assuming new responsibilities
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
Advantageous Experience and Skills
- Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Previous work experience in the design of municipal water and sewer services
- Previous work experience in site supervision for construction projects
- Working knowledge of MS Project
- Understanding of construction contract documentation (BoQs, Specifications, Drawings)
