Join our team responsible for leading and delivering compliance related functions that contribute to
achieving sustainable management and use of the Region’s water resources, consistent with Departmental frameworks, policies and priorities, in partnership with stakeholders.

Key Duties and Accountabilities,
· Undertake regulatory activities associated with the compliance and management of water, associated works and riverine protection including audits and investigation of complaints and alleged non-compliance with the Water Act 2000, Water Regulation 2016, and the Planning Act 2016 including preparing reports and recommendations.
· Entry and validation of information into CIRaM and other water databases, and provide outputs from these databases as required.
· Prioritise and coordinate workflow processes, managing multiple and conflicting deadlines to achieve performance targets in accordance with departmental priorities and objectives
· Report regularly to the compliance and monitoring teams as required, provide input for regional reporting and at regional and team meetings.
· Undertake investigations and make recommendations for audits of and potential non-compliance with water entitlements and associated resources including, take of overland flow, quarry material, riverine protection and associated developments, including both surface water and groundwater.
· Consult, liaise and provide advice to staff, management, clients, the general public and Government agencies on water compliance matters, the Water Act 2000, Water Regulation 2016, and relevant parts of the Planning Act 2016.
· Work with other team members and the Manager, Compliance to effectively deliver compliance related functions in the regulated water community.
· Advise management and project teams on compliance issues through the preparation of briefs and correspondence, as well as representing the department in community forums.
