Job Title: Water Resources Management Expert (Jordanian National)
Duration/Level of Effort: Long-Term, Full-Time
Position Location: Amman, Jordan
SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
Cowater is recruiting consulting expertise for a new water sector project in Jordan. The new initiative will focus on improving the efficiency of water services in Jordan, including through rehabilitated water distribution networks, improved energy efficiency, strengthening the drought and water scarcity management system. This 4-year initiative will work across the country delivering Technical Assistance, capacity building, organizational strengthening, and project design services for beneficiaries.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Cowater is recruiting a Jordanian Water Resources Management Expert to join the project team. This position is full-time over the duration of the project and will be based in Jordan. Only Jordanian nationals are eligible and can be considered.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Sc. degree or equivalent in engineering related to water resource management.
Minimum Experience/Skills:
- 15 years of experience providing consultancy services in water resources management;
- Experience working on water sector projects including in drought management and climate change;
- Proven in-depth knowledge and experience of international best practice in water resource management.
- Experience with World Bank funded projects (desired);
- Prior experience of donor-funded and public-sector projects;
- Good experience using MS Office software;
- Familiarity with Jordanian entities and stakeholders;
- Ability to work in a large and dynamic team of international and national experts; and
- Capacity to provide reporting and results framework as needed by the team and client.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in English and Arabic
