Position : Water Resource Manager – Participatory Water Resources Management and Community Engagement Expert
Location : Ahmedabad (Head Office)
Number of Posts : 1
Duration : Initially for 3 Years
Salary : ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month (CTC),
commensurate with experience and qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute
- Strong academic and practical grounding in water infrastructure, rural engineering, or related fields
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of rural water infrastructure projects
- Experience of working in facilitating participatory processes of community engagement in water management program particularly in tribal or rural areas
- Familiarity with government programs related to water and sanitation, watershed, irrigation etc. (e.g., PMKSY , Jal Jeevan Mission, MGNREGA, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee implementation of water infrastructure projects in field locations
- Engage with community members, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and local stakeholders to ensure inclusive planning and execution
- Prepare technical designs, BoQs, estimates, and monitor construction quality
- Support training and capacity-building of local youth and community members
- Work closely with internal teams and partner organizations to document progress and impact
- Contribute to reporting, MIS, and knowledge-sharing activities
Desired Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of rural water systems, watershed development, and infrastructure planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in community settings
- Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi (spoken and written); knowledge of English desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic GIS tools is an added advantage
- Ability to travel extensively to field areas and work in rural/tribal settings
