Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship for Master Students, within the framework of project/1801P.01515 – StreamWater, in the institution IST-ID, reference no. 2024.07282.IACDC/2024, financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC
Workplan: Development of computational methodologies and algorithms for the identification of anomalous behaviors in flow and pressure measurements in a distribution network and energy consumption in pumping stations.
Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 8 months. It’s expected to begin in June 2025 and may be renewed up to the maximum of 24 months, including the duration of the initial contract.

Benefits
Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/fct-atualizou-o-valor-das-bolsas-para-2025/), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1040,98, being the payment method of the Fellow by wire transfer.
Eligibility criteria
Admission Requirements:To be enrolled in the master degree of civil engineering in the Area of Specialization in Hydraulics and Water Resources.
Selection process
Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: (i) average grade of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering in the area of specialization in Hydraulics and Water Resources (60%); (ii) experience in participating in various projects, activities and initiatives in an academic environment at DECivil, IST (20%); (iii) letter of motivation (20%). If necessary, an individual interview may be conducted which will calculate the arithmetic average with the previous curricular component.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification.
