Job title: Recurrencia de los eventos climáticos extremos en el Oeste de Europa desde una perspectiva holocena: repercusiones en la gestión de los ecosistemas costeros de Galicia- CLIMCOST
Research line / Scientific-technical services: Paleoclimatology and Paleoecology.
JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CICA, Monday to Friday 09:00 am – 2:00 pm and 3:30 – 5.30 pm.
1) Tasks to be carried out
The tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary will be in the field of the earth and water sciences . The beneficiary of this research contract will carry out analyses using statistical techniques and interpretation of data obtained within the framework of the project for reconstructing climate impacts on freshwater and coastal ecosystems.
2) Justification of the duration of the contract The duration of the contract will be 12 months. The call may be declared void if candidates do not achieve a minimum score of 40 points in the selection criteria detailed in Blocks 1 and 2. The minimum score to be included on the waiting list will be 60 points.

4) Selection and evaluation criteria
Block 1 –
Training:
– Academic record of the degree (maximum 20 points). In the case of having other degrees, the score will be balanced according to the number of credits of each degree as follows: (CT1*NT1 + CT2*NT2)/(CT1 + CT2); where CT is the number of credits of the degree and NT is the record of the degree.
– Training in statistical techniques and data handling (maximum 10 points; 1 point/10 hours of training)
– Training in geographic information systems (maximum 5 points; 1 point/10 hours of training).
Block 2 –
Experience:
– Experience in environmental jobs (maximum 30 points; 10 points/year)
– Experience in the use of biogeochemical and/or molecular analysis techniques (maximum 10 points; 2 points/year).
– Participation in scientific conferences (maximum 5 points; 1 point/congress).
Block 3 –
Personal interview:
– A personal interview will be arranged with candidates who achieve a minimum score of 60 points in blocks 1 and 2 (maximum 20 points)
