About GreenCape
GreenCape is a non-profit organisation that supports the development of the green economy – low carbon, resource-efficient and socially inclusive. We assist green technology businesses and investors focusing on green technologies and services to remove barriers to investment and growth.
Our Ambition
GreenCape’s five-year strategy aims to be globally relevant in driving the uptake of green economy infrastructure solutions in the developing world context. As such, GreenCape is expecting to double in size in the next five years. For more details on GreenCape, visit www.greencape.co.za
The Water & Agriculture Programme
The Water & Agriculture Programme’s goal is to increase job creation and investment into the green technology and services that support the two sectors. We achieve this through a number of different activities: we perform demand creation activities (such as supporting farmers/businesses/municipalities to invest in green infrastructure and technologies) and we provide support to agtech and water sector businesses (such as collecting and disseminating market intelligence and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship). The programme engages with stakeholders across government, private sector and civil society to drive meaningful impact in South Africa’s future.
Job Details
The programme is looking to recruit a smart, motivated individual who has experience with market analyses, business case preparation, project management and stakeholder engagement and facilitations. The successful incumbent will be expected to lead projects, build and leverage
their networks and provide technical expertise in both the water and sustainable agriculture sectors whilst contributing to critical green economy initiatives.
