WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

Housed within The Nature Conservancy’s Resilient Watersheds Strategy, the Nature for Water Facility (‘N4W’) is a technical assistance platform that provides hand-in-hand support to local champions seeking to develop watershed investment programs. N4W has supported more than 60 place-based projects globally since inception in 2022, via a mixture of pro-bono and fee-for-service partnerships. The Program Coordinator will provide essential support to the Nature for Water Program Manager by ensuring the smooth execution of Nature for Water Facility’s operational, financial, and programmatic activities. This role involves maintaining financial and program dashboards, supporting contracting and procurement processes, managing payments and invoicing, and assisting with donor reporting. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining efficient administrative processes and contributing to the overall success of Nature for Water’s mission. A certain degree of independence is expected from this role, which includes ample near-term growth opportunities for motivated candidates joining this dynamic team.

The Program Coordinator position directly reports to the N4W Program Manager and will also work closely with senior leadership within N4W and TNC Provide & Food BU Finance Department. The position is full-time, fully remote, and can be based in any country where TNC is registered as a Non-government Organization and established employer in Africa (Angola, Gabon, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia), Latin America (Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru), and the Caribbean (The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, USVI). This is a fixed-term, two-year position that may be extended in accordance with applicable country-specific employment laws and business requirements.

Responsibilities and Scope

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of operational procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials to support decision-making and donor engagement.
  • Maintain and update N4W’s dashboards to track program performance and financial data.
  • Gather and compile financial and project data for donor reporting, ensuring accuracy before Program Manager review.
  • Coordinate payments and invoicing, ensuring timely processing and compliance with financial protocols.
  • Maintain organized records, file storage, and archiving systems for program and financial documents.
  • Ensure alignment with SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for events, including handling payments, invoices, and documentation.
  • Regularly engage with N4W colleagues in other regions of the globe.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • MS or BS degree and certification in finance, accounting, business administration or related field and at least 3 years professional experience, in finance, accounting, data analytics and/or project management, or equivalent combination.
  • Proficiency in analytical and organizational skills, with experience managing financial data and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and web browsers.
  • Experience in data management and data analytics.
  • Experience managing multiple projects.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional language competency in English required (both oral and written).
  • Process-orientated individual with a passion for driving continuous improvement across team workflow and systems.
  • Attention to detail & structured thinking.
  • Understanding of invoicing, payments, and donor financial reporting processes.
  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Fluency in one or more additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese and French particularly valued).
  • A proactive team player working in a collaborative, multi-cultural, and inter-disciplinary environment.

SALARY INFORMATION

This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. Pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
