UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals] in order to select a supplier for the provision of CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ASSET REGISTERS IN 8 DISTRICTS FOR ENHANCING ACCESS TO WASH SERVICES IN LUAPULA PROVINCE (PHASE 7) ZAMBIA. BRIEF BACKGROUND Purpose: To support sustained access to WASH services in Luapula Province in Zambia through supporting strengthening of systems and capacities, infrastructure improvements and enhanced data management. Objective /Target The primary objective of the consultancy is to finalize an asset register for the commercial utility covering all handpumps and small piped water schemes in eight (8) districts in Luapula Province. The eight (8) targets districts are: Lunga, Chifunabuli, Mwense, Mwansabombwe, Chienge, Kawambwa, Chipili and Nchelenge. The secondary objective of the consultancy is to strengthen the data collection, management and coordination capacity of local authorities and the commercial Utility to ensure the asset register is maintained in the future.
