Action for Social Advancement (ASA), a not-for-profit organization working for the development of livelihoods of small and marginal farmers across the resource poor areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra since 1996.
ASA invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Programme Director- Watershed & Convergence .

Job Summary:
Incumbent will have overall responsibility for effective implementation of Watershed Projects and Convergence Initiative across the ASA Program area in multiple States. Work closely with Project Management Cell, Program Directors, Project Management Unit in various state and Field Coordination Offices in operational area as well as developing working relationship with Government stakeholders at State and District level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mapping all the relevant ongoing programmes and stakeholders in the project area; Develop and propose mechanisms to ensure convergence among ASA programme/project, develop SOPs and its implementation.
• Devise strategies and facilitate convergence with flagship schemes and partnerships with various line departments.
• Identify opportunities for developing farm livelihoods (based on Land/ Water/ Agriculture/Forestry/ Horticulture/ Livestock/ agribusiness/etc.) prototypes, envisaged to create ‘individual/ community assets’ for rural poor households under schemes like MGNREGS and schemes of other line departments.
• Develop and establish model interventions/estimates for livelihoods prototypes in consultation with other vertical heads and relevant stakeholders;
• Develop Capacity building strategy and its execution for both internal and external stakeholders to optimize domain specific results and Targets.
• Monitoring the various livelihoods focused activities under MGREGS; Facilitate innovative practices and solutions around farm livelihoods domains; Document best practices. Also assume responsibility for report writing and developing presentations.
• Conducting periodical review of the convergence theme in the programs and facilitate cross learning of the various thematic sectors within the organization. Timely monthly, quarterly, annually report reflecting convergent approach and data. Periodic analysis of data based achievement to make mid-course correction and sharing the progress finding.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 18 years of education leading to master’s degree in Social work/ Public Policy/ Public Administration/ Agri engineering/ Agriculture/ Rural Management/ Agribusiness Management, and similar qualification from a recognized university with minimum 10 years of experience in working with Close cooperation with Government Watershed , Rural Development. and MGNERG Program
