Nature-Based Solutions Junior Engineer to fulfil a position of technical assistant in Laos – VSI (12 months)

GRET is seeking a Nature-Based Solutions Junior Engineer for a 12-month International Solidarity Volunteer (VSI) role in Luang Prabang, Laos, to support projects under the Lao Local Essential Services (SEL) program. The role focuses on the design and supervision of sustainable infrastructure, particularly in wastewater treatment and water resource protection using nature-based solutions (NBS). The successful candidate will contribute to projects like SEWIT 3, WISE II, and Dear Water II, assisting with technical specifications, water quality monitoring, site inspections, feasibility studies, and capacity building. Ideal candidates will have a background in environmental or civil engineering, experience in water and sanitation projects, and a passion for ecological approaches to urban development. Fieldwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are essential aspects of the role​
