Job SummaryThe Natural Resources Specialist I reviews and evaluate Public Water Systems (PWS) data related to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Ground Water, Revised Total Coliform, Chemical, Surface Water and Public Notice (PN) rules.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and evaluate Ground Water Rule, Revised Total
Coliform Rule, Chemical Rule, Surface Water Rule PN data.Review data submitted by PWSs and laboratories.Identify systems with violations.Provide technical assistance related to Revised Total Coliform
Rule and other needed areas to Public Water Systems.Work with the team to create/review/revise documents.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree.One year experience in data analysis, environmental quality management, public utilities, business administration, or related field; or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role
Preferred QualificationsExperience with databases and reviewing technical documents.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel; and PC’s. Knowledge of database entry.Ability to integrate complex concepts, procedures, and processes.Ability to communicate verbally with clients, customers, coworkers to gather information and/or explain policies and procedures.Ability to work under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
