Job Description
We’re looking for a Head of Natural Capital to lead the scientific and technical thinking that underpins everything we do. This is a senior role in an ambitious and growing environmental organisation—someone who can guide how we use data and evidence, support others to make good decisions, and help us turn insight into action.
You’ll lead a skilled and thoughtful team working across ecology, geomorphology, land use, and data. Together, you’ll shape how we understand what’s happening in our catchments—and what to do about it. You’ll also lead our work on payments for ecosystem services, helping to design the tools and evidence we need to secure fair, well-structured investment in nature’s recovery.
We’re looking for someone with sound judgement, a calm and thoughtful approach, and the ability to bring clarity when things are complex. Someone who can support others, keep us learning, and help us focus on what really matters.
We’re a flexible, human-centred organisation. The role is full-time (35 hours/week), with 28 days’ holiday plus public holidays. You can choose a working pattern that fits your life, and we’re happy to explore reduced hours if that’s what you need.
