The Essex and Suffolk Rivers Trust (ESRT) are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programme Manager for the Recovering the Deben from Source to Sea project. Our vision is to recover the river Deben for people to love and wildlife to thrive and this is an ambitious project that aims to restore the land, water, and nature throughout the Deben catchment and estuary.

The Recovering the Deben Programme Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join our proactive team focused on river and riparian improvements within the Deben catchment. We use our expertise, experience, connections, and commitment to work in partnership with many stakeholder organisations and groups to make a real difference in helping to solve the complex problems of river restoration and water management.

We believe that working with, not against, nature is the key to sustainability, and we have a proven track record of delivering pioneering nature-based solutions. This will be the key to developing resilience to water challenges within the Deben catchment. We also draw strength and support as part of a nationwide movement of Rivers Trusts.

This role will lead the delivery of the Recovering the Deben from Source to Sea programme and studies. The Recovering the Deben Programme Manager will also lead on communications and action on the ground, supporting the ESRT to work with partners to influence change within the river Deben and estuary environments.
