Major responsibilities for the role will include:
- Managing different type of water-data sets at different scale (watershed to water-body level) on limnology, hydrology, hydrogeological data to developing conceptual models and interpretation of focal areas and use-cases based on the data.
- Undertake model build and calibration of Hydrological, hydro-geological and limnological modelling including understanding on water-ecosystems, water supply network, wastewater and surface water network hydraulic models using a range of modelling software and other tools including spreadsheets and GIS.
- You should be able to understand and carry out system performance analysis, development assessment and operational scenario planning using different hydrological models, hydraulic models and other tools as required.
- Prepare reporting for modelling projects suitable for review and client presentation.
- Provide input into project activities, including fee estimating and scoping of projects.
Skills
- Strong experience in running open-source process-based water quality or hydrodynamics models such as HEC-RMS, WASP, HEC-RAC, HEC-HY8, iRIC, etc.
- Strong understanding of hydrology and hydrological processes
- Good Programming proficiency in Python, R or MATLAB
- Basic skills in handling geospatial data with QGIS or ArcGIS, etc.
