OPEN – DRRS is looking for 2 Portuguese-speaking WASH experts to support WHO Angola with the Cholera response. Duty stations are Luanda and roving, respectively. The duration of both deployments is 3 months. Starting date is a.s.a.p.
For this position WASH experts who are fluent in Portuguese and are located in Angola, Mozambique or the region are strongly encouraged to apply.
For both positions the following is required:
- Demonstrated knowledge of WASH emergency response situations (in Health Facilities) in the field of water and sanitation with proven ability to identify and solve technical problems in difficult circumstances.
- Knowledge of WHO, the UN system or a nongovernmental organization (NGO) work in the field of response relief and/or of their practices and procedures as related to the work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to promote cohesive action and convince officials with tact and diplomacy with national authorities.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with proven ability to elaborate and implement projects.
- Fluency in Portuguese, English and potentially French.
