                REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (REOI)

The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received credit and grant from the World Bank towards the cost of the Host and Rohingya Enhancement of Lives Project (HELP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payment for following consulting services to be procured under the project:

Duration: 38 person month (tentatively) 
Scope of Services:
-Revise (if required during implementation) the process/hydraulic design of water supply system including analysis of water distribution network using appropriate software.
-Supervise and guide all the activities related to engineering design of the water supply
Educational Qualification: Minimum B.Sc. in Civil/ Water Resources/ Environmental Engineering from any reputed recognized university.
Experience: At least 15 years of experience in any government/ semi government/ autonomous sector or in any development projects on preparing master plans and feasibility studies, design and implementation of large scale water supply scheme.
Minimum 10 (ten) years of relevant working experience in development projects funded by the World Bank, ADB or other development partners on piped water supply activities in Bangladesh or similar regions.

Applicants are required to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI), comprising of a CV (including employment history with duties and responsibilities) and a forwarding letter describing briefly the reasons that the applicant considers him/her-self best suited to perform the assignment.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Fifth Edition, September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) and other information will be available upon request from the address provided below either through email or in person. ToR is also available in DPHE website (http:www.dphe.gov.bd).

The consultant will be selected following the Selection of Individual Consultant method as set forth in the World Bank Procurement Regulations.

 Expression of Interest needs to be submitted (either through e-mail or in person or by mail) to the following address by    12:00 hours on March 27, 2025. Please clearly mention “Expression of Interest (EoI) for Selection of the Consultant in the e-mail’s subject line or on the top of the envelope.

The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the EOIs or cancel the EOI process at any stage without assigning any reason whatsoever and without incurring any liability to the affected applicant(s)
