Tasks
We are seeking a researcher with a doctoral degree to conduct research in river engineering and management. The expected responsibilities include:
- Conducting research studies in river engineering and management, with a focus on river processes and the impact of debris.
- Publishing research findings in highly-regarded scientific journals with high Impact Factors.
- Applying and participating in the implementation of externally financed research projects.
- Engaging in teaching and public outreach activities to popularize science.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Earth sciences or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in river processes and debris impacts.
- Ability to conduct both laboratory and field studies.
- Experience in modeling river hydro-morphodynamics.
- Fluency in English, sufficient for presenting research at international conferences, communicating with colleagues, and publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Proven track record of scientific achievements in the field of river engineering and management.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supervising graduate student theses.
- Evidence of teaching and research activities, or outreach efforts directed towards schools, the public, or policymakers.
- Strong motivation for scientific research and collaboration.
