Key Responsibilities:
Purpose of the position:
To contribute to the attainment of the organization’s access to water, improve sanitation and hygiene objectives, ensuring that WASH facilities constructed meet the standards and contribute to child wellbeing outcomes.

Major Responsibilities
- Supervise the construction of water facilities from groundwater and surface water sources.
- Supervise artisans to construct water facilities such as standpipes, aprons and permanent hand washing stations
- Supervise plumbing works on the field
- Perform basic plumbing works
- Visit project sites and submit weekly and monthly reports on the progress of work
- Prepare payment certificates for all constructional works contracted.
- Review BOQs and submit for discussions among the technical team
- Ensures that construction technician/ artisans and contractors maintain quality standards and construct to specifications.
- Work with partners on innovations in the WASH sectors.
- Support the pumping test and submit monthly report on the performance of the gen set, submersible pump and other equipment
- Ensure the operations are conducted in the best interest of the Company.
- Maintain effective and positive working relationship with others, cooperative and supportive team player, and work with a variety of people .
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role
- Minimum of five years working experience in the building or civil works and supervisory role as clerk or works or site foreman
- BSc. or HND Civil Engineering, Building Technology with 5 years’ field experience in building or civil works.
- NVTI with 15 years working experience as clerk or works or site foreman
- Civil Engineering or Building Technology
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
- Office based with frequent travel to the field
- Travel: 20% Domestic/international travel is required.
- On call: 25%
Physical Requirements
- Preferably below 35 years,
- Able to work under pressure and without supervision
- Ability to drive or possess a driver’s licence
Language Requirements
- English and able to speak one or two local dialects preferably Twi
