This assignment involves providing consultancy services to support the World Bank in advising the government of Papua New Guinea (PNG) on addressing its energy challenges by exploring small hydropower plant (HPP) projects. The purpose of the consultancy is to conduct a detailed desktop assessment study to identify and evaluate potential small hydropower sites using various available studies related to least-cost power development plans; grid extension plans; demand forecasts; and site surveys.
