  • Review and perform Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) water quality data.
  • Perform data management.
  • Help with water quality analysis for rivers, creeks, wetlands and ponds.
  • Perform literature review of stormwater best management practices and optimization.
  • Gain an increased understanding of Water quality regulations from the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) and Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) water quality guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Completion of your second year of study will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data. 
  • You are highly motivated with demonstrated initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
