  • Capture ACR pictures and conduct site condition ratings.
  • Perform basic site cleanup, basic operational checks and collect serial numbers.
  • Assist senior technicians with site work as time allows.
  • Scan and archive irrigation schematics using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology and read basic irrigation schematics.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in second year in a diploma or degree program in Electronics, Instrumentation, Administration or related program.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Basic knowledge of GIS and their functions, awareness of control systems and proficiency in iPhone operations and Adobe software will be considered an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending.
  • Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator’s permit.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work with attention to detail and completeness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and adherence to schedules.
  • Ability to identify and communicate discrepancies and ability to capture clear and detailed site photos.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
