RTI’s Sustainable Growth & Resilience (SG&R) technical unit within the International Development Group brings together RTI experts and capabilities across food security, agriculture, energy, environment, water, governance, and economic opportunity. SG&R will leverage RTI’s experience designing and delivering multisectoral programming and technical solutions to respond to climate change, build resilience, and promote economic growth around the world.
SG&R’s Water portfolio has delivered innovative, breakthrough solutions in key development sectors globally, including water sector governance, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, water resources management, community engagement, urban resilience, and institutional capacity building.
Project Description
RTI is preparing for the anticipated RTI is preparing for the anticipated USAID Bangladesh Feed the Future Water Management Activity. The goal of the Activity is to address Bangladesh’s interconnected water-related problems requires a comprehensive watershed management approach, including improving environmentally compliant irrigation systems, introducing water-saving agricultural practices, expanding access to clean drinking water, and strengthening water management systems and regulatory enforcement
Responsibilities
RTI is currently seeking professionals with senior- and mid-level expertise in the following areas:
- Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
- Hydrology
- Irrigation Engineering
- Water-Saving Agricultural Practices
- Agricultural Expertise (Specialized in Water Efficiency)
- Environmental Policy and Governance
- Water Policy and Governance
- Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience
- Civil Engineering (Water Infrastructure Focus)
- Water Quality Management and Remediation
- Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting donor funded water work in Bangladesh
