Ready to make waves in stormwater and hydrology engineering? We have either a Principal Stormwater & Hydrology Engineer (PO4) or Senior Stormwater & Hydrology Engineer (PO3) roles available.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the way in hydrology and stormwater investigations, analysis and design, ensuring compliance with standards and integrating risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide expert advice during the planning of new infrastructure and maintenance of existing assets, ensuring sustainable and effective outcomes.
- Streamline processes by ensuring all infrastructure is supported by consistent and integrated procedures and technical expertise.
- Build strong partnerships with industry bodies and government agencies to drive key departmental objectives and innovative solutions.

- Excellent written communication skills, with expertise in developing technical reports and clear recommendations for a wide range of audiences.

Qualifications/Experience
Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
Principal Stormwater & Hydrology Engineer (PO4) Technical Capabilities
- Significant experience delivering expert technical advice on stormwater and hydrology matters to stakeholders.
- Proven proficiency in leading site investigations and informing design and construction decisions.
- Extensive and contemporary knowledge and experience in the stormwater and hydrology discipline.
Senior Stormwater & Hydrology Engineer (PO3) Technical Capabilities.
- Experience in conducting reviews and providing expert feedback on stormwater and hydrology designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
- Experience delivering expert technical advice on stormwater and hydrology matters to a range of stakeholders.
- Proven proficiency in site investigations, including the analysis of information to inform design and construction decisions.
- Contemporary knowledge and experience to advice on innovative engineering designs using the latest technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to assess stormwater and hydrology requirements and offer advice that aligns with Departmental and industry standards.
Special Conditions
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
- Some intra / interstate travel may be required.
Renumeration
PO3 – $101,285 to $107,078 pa + superannuation.
PO4 – $110,696 to $120,470 pa + superannuation.
