The Role The Technical services Team works around the clock on utilities and infrastructure systems to maximize performance and availability. Through a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance they ensure these systems operate as intended, and when they don’t, they’re returned to service as soon as possible. This role is specifically tailored to the Gigafactory Berlin industrial wastewater treatment, previous experience with wastewater management is required. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of chemical and physical water treatment processes.
What You’ll Do
- Technical management of the overall engineering and O&M for the entire wastewater plant.
- Responsible for monitoring and coordinating current system demands and capacity concerns and assist and lead in troubleshooting of system operational issues.
- Plan start-up and commissioning activities for new systems, expansion and retro-fit projects related to wastewater.
- Cost tracking, consumption forecast creation, budget control and participate in tendering processes.
- Develop and update critical spares, consumables and chemical lists for systems.
- Incorporate all improvements, and standardize best practices and prepare working instructions and safety guidelines
What You’ll Bring
- Background in working as a mechanical, chemical or process engineer in an industrial environment
- More than 5 years of experience working in wastewater treatment facilities.
- Must possess process engineering skills: process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, flow optimization and root cause analysis.
- Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage.
