Job Advert Summary | Rand water is looking for a candidate to implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management system on site. In accordance with Rand Water SHEQ policy, procedures and relevant Occupational Hygiene and Environmental standards and legislation. |
Minimum Requirements | •Grade 12 •Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management. •2 Years practical experience in Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Management Desired Experience •Background in Environmental Risk Assessment •Environmental Management •Familiarity with Environmental Legislation •Computer literacy |
Primary Duties | •Risk Identification- Investigation Occupational, Hygiene, Legislation, Modern trends and thinking and Risk assessment. •Risk Evaluation- Interpretation of Results. •Risk Control- Programmes Environmental and Occupational, Pest Control, Awareness Induction, Training Environmental and reporting and emergency co-ordination. •Administration-documentation. •Financial-Budgets. •Communication- Act in advisory capacity in Health and Safety Committee meetings and Workplace meetings |
Knowledge | •Understanding, implementation and auditing of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and its requirements •Knowledge and experience of SHE administration and incident investigation •Knowledge of SAMTRAC, additional qualification would serve as an advantage •Environmental Management and Environmental Legislation •Knowledge in ISO 9001 |
