Over the years, we have successfully advocated for water conservation, sanitation, and hygiene in collaboration with grassroots organizations.
Role Overview
As a Thematic Officer – Gender, you will drive impactful initiatives focused on empowering women in water governance and management, fostering gender inclusivity, and building capacity among stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote women’s participation in water governance through awareness programs.
• Conduct training sessions for government officials, PRIs, SHGs, and community leaders on gender mainstreaming.
• Facilitate workshops on gender-sensitive budgeting and panchayat audits.
• Build the capacity of elected women representatives and women associations.
• Organize workshops to enhance the skills of female water volunteers.
• Coordinate with government departments and PRIs to ensure project success.
• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of project activities.
• Prepare and disseminate reports, case studies, and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills Required
• Postgraduate degree in Social Science, Agriculture, or Rural Development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in WASH/Water Management/Local Governance/Gender development.
• Proficiency in micro-planning and capacity-building techniques.
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Valid driving license and access to a two-wheeler (preferred).
Remuneration
• up to ?30,000 per month (commensurate with experience and skills).
