RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic business support
– Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy
– Analyse and interpret technical data to guide technical and strategic decisions
– Assist founders with ad-hoc tasks and challenges
Project management
– Lead assigned projects from inception to delivery, ensuring deliverables are met on time and with high-quality
– Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute plans effectively
Business development and sales support
– Identify and engage potential customers and partners in the water and hydropower sectors
– Support outreach efforts, including drafting emails, setting up meetings, or preparing presentations that blend technical accuracy with business strategy
– Manage CRM tools and maintain an up-to-date contact database
Fundraising
– Search and identify grant and funding opportunities that align with Open Hydro’s mission
– Assist in preparing standout grant proposals or pitch decks for investors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desired qualification
– Passionate about climate change and water sustainability
– MSc degree in water-related fields (e.g. environmental or civil engineering, environmental science)
– Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
– Project management experience with a track record of delivering technical and strategic outcomes
– Excellent attention to detail
– Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and tasks
– Effective communicator in English, both written and verbal
– Languages: Portuguese proficiency is a plus
Additional
– Experience in startups or fast-paced environments
– Experience or interest in sales, partnerships and business development
– Familiarity with business development and go-to-market strategies
LOCATION AND SALARY
Full-time position.
Hybrid work – remote with monthly in-person meetings in London
Eligible to work in the UK.
Salary range: £ 30,000 – £ 40,000 / year.
1-year contract, renewable.
