What the role is
This job role grows technologies that are critical for PUB’s mission in partnership with the industry and other stakeholders by (1) promoting these technologies in adjacent industries and overseas to grow and penetrate new markets, and (2) building capabilities of the industry and strengthening the Singapore Water Association (SWA).
What you will be working on
The key responsibilities of the job holder (but not limited to the following) would be to: • Expand markets for technologies that are critical for PUB’s mission through: o Engagement of start-ups and founders of technologies regularly. o Identification of potential adopters overseas and customising technology promotion strategies to help start-ups penetrate new markets. o Identification of potential uses of the technologies in adjacent industries and to engage the relevant users. o Profiling of technologies to potential adopters through nominations for awards and to international delegates during Singapore International Water Week (SIWW). • Strengthen Singapore Water Association (SWA) to support PUB’s mission by working with SWA Executive Director to co-develop and execute plans to grow water industry capabilities, supporting PUB’s mission. • Support PUB Consultants (PUBC) to promote local water technology growth through consultancy projects, international partnerships, and twinning initiatives. • Support the activities of World Bank Singapore Water Centre of Excellence (WB-SWC), including providing training and experience, utility assessment/turnaround projects, piloting of new technologies to elevate presence and reputation of Singapore’s water capabilities. • Penetrate overseas markets for awareness of Singapore’s water technologies through government networks, business platforms, and partnerships with Multilateral Development Banks. • Build Industry capability through developing Skills Framework and Competency Certification for the water industry to level up overall capabilities and delivery of service.
What we are looking for
• Degree in Engineering or Science discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience. • At least 7-8 years of experience in the water sector or with relevant business development/marketing/commercialisation background • Experience dealing with foreign governments and international organisations
