Consultant for Kyrgyzstan’s SWM Road Map

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced consultant to develop Kyrgyzstan’s Smart Water Management Road Map. This initiative focuses on enhancing multi-sectoral approaches to water resource, water/wastewater treatment, and water reuse through integrated guidelines, technical tools, capacity building, and strategic advocacy efforts.
The consultant will play a pivotal role in shaping Kyrgyzstan’s SWM strategies, fostering innovative operational models, and promoting intersectoral funding mechanisms. Working alongside a collaborative consortium, this role will contribute to advancing resilience and sustainable development in humanitarian contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop joint integrated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical guidelines.
Create tools like checklists, quality frameworks, and coordination mechanisms to support development of Kyrgyzstan’s Smart Water Management Road Map.
Lead efforts on capacity-building initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and partnership strategies.
Analyze and reflect on impacts, evaluations, and academic contributions to strengthen Road Map outcomes.
Report progress and insights to the Road Map Secretariat and core leadership teams.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in water/wastewater treatment or related fields.
At least 5 years of leadership experience in research, project management, and water/wastewater treatment in Kyrgyzstan.
Proven expertise in multi-sectoral coordination and operational models.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
Fluency in English (additional language such as Kyrgyz is an advantage).
