Job Purpose

This person will provide technical support to program implementation, enhance capacity and skills development of the staff, conduct staff capacity building, training and refresher, provide hands on training, conduct WASH related meeting & workshop. Coordination and collaboration with GOB, Local Government Institutions (LGI) and other stakeholder, field activity follow up and take initiative to ensure quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a structured activity plan align with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with specific and regular micro level implementation plan and take initiatives for implementing those plans.
  • Conduct Training Need Assessment (TNA) and arrange training for staff capacity building, provide hands on training for the frontline staff, providing training /orientation based on TNA.
  • Assess community needs on willingness to pay with ability, indigenous knowledge/ perception and practice/culture for ensuring comparatively better WASH services.
  • Follow up and monitor the regular activities of respective WASH programme staff and provide them technical and logistical support with proper guidance for achieving the hardware and software target with good quality.
  • Assist to the operation team to implement the programmatic activities and attend in the monthly and weekly staff meeting on regular basis.
  • Monitor and provide feedback to the corresponding program personnel through branch wise field visit and follow-up Rural Sanitation Centre (RSC), Hard Core Poor (HCP), Deep Tubewell (DTW) loan and grants activities.
  • Identify the programmatic issues of WASH-related services and take initiative to mitigation through operational channel
  • Organize meetings, workshops, seminars and forum to share programme activities
  • Coordinate & collaborate with Internal (Operation team of Manager & Area Manager and another Sector Specialist) and extrarenal (Sub Assistant Engineer of DPHE, GO/NGO’s and other WASH stakeholders.) 
  • Ensure celebration of WASH related day (World water day, global handwashing day, menstrual hygiene management day) through collaboration with GO/ NGOs.
  • Track the WASH budget for effective financial management
  • Collect and prepare area wise report, checking, compilation and send to corresponding program personnel and maintain records of all related activities & keeping track related organizations.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
