We are looking for a Full-Time Senior Policy Officer on a Fixed Term basis up to 23 months

We work in a professional way towards our shared goals, knowing the work we do makes a genuine, lasting difference on the environment. As a [Senior Policy Officer] for [Flooding Partnerships & Engagement Unit, within the Hydrology & Flooding Function],Your role will include:
- Developing the key policy areas of flood risk management by providing analysis, evaluation and supporting information.
- Working with the Principal Policy Officer and National Partnerships & Engagement team (flooding) in policy development and implementation.
- Contributing to research projects to advance policy development.
- Liaising with other SEPA teams; and, supporting communications and engagement with partners.
[This is an important role which will contribute to the workload of this dynamic and professional team, focusing on the development and implementation of policy with respect to flood risk management, delivering engagement (internal and external), supporting Scottish Government policy and strategy development for flood resilience, supporting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets and Flood Risk Management Plan production and integration. This post will provide a policy lead in one or two core areas and support the Principal Policy Officer in the development of information in other areas of policy development. The post will also support the delivery of key statutory products including the Flood Risk Management Plans.]
