Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering for a one-semester full-time or part-time appointment starting in January 2025.
Seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach various Civil Engineering courses such as Civil Engineering Materials, Civil 3D, Hydrology, and first-year courses in the School of Engineering.

The School of Engineering is the largest academic unit within Wentworth, serving approximately 1,600 students in eight undergraduate engineering programs: biological, biomedical, civil, computer, electrical, electromechanical, engineering (including robotics), and mechanical. In addition, the school has Master of Science degrees in civil, computer, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Our curriculum provides practical, hands-on experience through laboratory-intensive courses.
Our faculty comprises individuals from wide-ranging backgrounds and experiences where collaboration is highly encouraged and supported, and our School has no department boundaries.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree
- 3 years of teaching experience
