DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will undertake a range of professional responsibilities within the Bureau of Watershed Restoration and Nonpoint Source Management. Your role will include the development and promotion of a watershed approach as a unified framework for environmental management in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Department of Agriculture, and other state agencies, as well as local communities. Key responsibilities will focus on empowering watershed organizations, community groups, landowners, local governments, and conservation districts to tackle environmental issues on a watershed scale. Tasks will be assigned based on program objectives, requiring the employee to demonstrate significant initiative and enjoy considerable autonomy in planning, scheduling, and executing their work.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.
- Travel required for meetings, trainings, and site visits.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Seven years of experience in environmental protection, environmental regulation, or resource conservation which includes three years of experience in a professional capacity; or
- Three years of professional experience in environmental protection, environmental regulation, or resource conservation and a bachelor’s degree in biological or environmental science, environmental protection, resource conservation, engineering, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years of professional experience in environmental protection, environmental regulation, or resource conservation.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
