Offer Description
The aim of this Post-Doctoral fellowship is to set up a physics-based one dimensional morphodynamic
model of the Po River delta network. The model will include the forcing effect of the micro tidal variation at the sea and
the distribution of water and sediment conveyed through the various delta branches. The main bifurcations will be treated
with appropriate nodal conditions by taking advantage of the wide body of knowledge already developed for fluvial
bifurcations. The channel width variations along the river branches will be accounted for.
