What you’ll do:
- Develop high quality and timely data products to be used in advanced analytical, computational and experimental models in natural and engineered systems; and put safety first
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed analytical systems to ensure that outcomes from models are readily accessible
- Collaboratively work with colleagues in delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Contribute to technical support in development and review of assigned tasks to support the successful completion of projects
- Undertake formal and on the job training and participate in structured placement activities to develop skills across a broad range of areas within the WaterNSW
What we are looking for:
- Be in your final year of study or have graduated recently with a relevant degree in the applied data science, IT, computer science, engineering, or any equivalent field
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Able to demonstrate and have experience in analysing and visualising multi-dimensional large datasets, using Python or R language
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding and working knowledge of the Microsoft online platforms (e.g. OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams)
- Preferable: Experience working with spatial information systems for scientific applications such as ARC GIS
