The Role:
Operating from within Water Supply Regulation, within the Water Operations and Systems branch of the Water Resource Management division, you’ll assist in the regulation of Queensland’s registered water and sewerage service providers under
the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008. The Water Supply Regulation team is responsible for all aspects of regulatory oversight which includes assessing drinking water and recycled water quality management plans, monitoring ongoing
compliance through the review of data and reports, undertaking formal compliance activities and the development and implementation of support programs. All of which assures the quality of drinking and recycled water being supplied, primarily for the protection of public health.

Key Responsibilities:
• Pivotal role in overseeing the quality and performance of drinking and recycled water service providers.
• Review and assess drinking and recycled water quality management plans to ensure compliance with legislation and guidelines.
• Conduct inspections and collect evidence to support regulatory actions.
• Respond to water quality incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
• Provide accurate advice on water legislation and regulations.
• Contribute to the development and review of regulatory documents.

About You:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, public health) is highly regarded.
• Experience in regulatory compliance or drinking or recycled water quality management preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
