- Salary ranges from $120,859.00 to $133,183.00 + super + leave loading
Our regional Local Water Utilities team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer, Regional Towns Water & Sewerage. This is a great opportunity to join a team of water and wastewater technical experts and strategic planners contributing to delivering local water utilities sector objectives.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will advise Local Water utilities regarding infrastructure and regulatory compliance to support efficient and secure regional and town water and sewerage services that meet the needs of local communities. The role undertakes drought monitoring of regional town water supplies and acts as a government representative on regional town water issues. This role also provides assistance and advice on associated government funding programs.
About You
To be successful in the role;
- You will have experience in effectively using current knowledge of the extensive range of information, legislation and policy settings affecting regional water and sewerage services in NSW and making recommendations on a range of complex and/or politically sensitive alternatives
- You will have strong verbal and written communication, with the demonstrated ability to undertaking relationship management with local water utilities and Government agencies and negotiating positions with stakeholders
- You will have a genuine interest in maintaining an awareness of recent industry developments and the ability to evaluate the costs/benefits of different solutions being offered
- You will be willing and able to travel throughout NSW
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant industry experience would be an advantage
