The Center for Water Policy is excited to announce an opportunity for an Undergraduate Communications Intern for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position offers the chance for a full time undergraduate student at UW-Milwaukee to gain hands-on experience in water policy communications, while working collaboratively with the Water Policy and Science Communications Graduate Fellow.

The intern will play a key role in managing the Center’s social media presence, creating daily posts on X (formerly Twitter) on water law and policy, and posting weekly on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Other duties include monitoring water law and policy in the news, creating monthly analytics reports, developing outreach strategies, and providing updates to the Center’s staff during meetings.

The position allows for up to 10 hours of work per week, with a flexible hybrid option, and pays $12/hour. Ideal candidates will have social media experience and an interest in water issues. Graphic design skills and experience with platforms like Adobe Creative Cloud are a plus!
