About the role

The Stakeholder Engagement Adviser plays a crucial role in enhancing SA Water’s brand and reputation by providing professional and strategic support to leaders and key stakeholders. This position is focused on delivering high-quality stakeholder engagement and establishing strong, collaborative relationships that align with SA Water’s strategic goals.

About Customer, Community and Engagement

The Customer, Community and Engagement group drives customer outcomes by delivering exceptional experiences and tailored solutions that grow business, revenue, and the state economy, while actively engaging with communities, and collecting valuable feedback.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

  • Lead strategic engagement with key external stakeholders through formal consultations and informal relationship-building, ensuring alignment with SA Water’s business delivery.
  • Author high-quality responses and strategic engagement plans for regulators and senior leadership, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide advice to senior leaders on complex stakeholder issues, supporting the development and strengthening of relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Work effectively across departments to meet deadlines and support team objectives, contributing to a high-performing team environment.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Proven experience in building and influencing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes and government engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
  • Tertiary qualifications in planning, project management, law, communications, or related fields.
