SFEI’s Clean Water Program is looking to add 1-2 experienced and motivated Project Managers to help focus and facilitate the success of our science teams as we tackle multi-million dollar science projects with regional and national implications. The position requires strong collaboration and task management skills and a scientific background (university degree and/or work experience). Work will include facilitating a diverse, intellectually stimulating, and impactful set of tasks, including management of complex multi-task projects with local, national, and international partners, budget management, contract management, project and financial reporting, and coordinating and organizing a diverse team of scientists. A background or training in science (e.g., bachelor’s level) is needed to help track project tasks, strategize during budgeting and timeline development, and draft contract scopes (please note that this is not a science position).The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and organizational skills, proactive planning skills, ability to multitask, ability to track and see tasks through to completion, and ability to communicate with different staff and partners/funders on progress and potential issues.
