Offer Description
The research activity aims at the characterisation and development of new adsorbent materials for the extraction of Critical Raw Material, both of anthropogenic and geogenic origin, from groundwater with particular focus on the removal of mercury from groundwater contaminated by gold mining by amalgamation in
Ecuador. In particular, the research activity will concern i) the implementation of new mathematical models capable of interpreting adsorption tests, in batch and in column, of adsorbent materials and ii) the development of new materials with high specific surface area and macro porosity.
