You will join our Water team
As our new NbS subject matter expert (SME), you will be part of an internationally leading company within the area of climate resiliency and nature-based solutions. You will join our international community of interdisciplinary colleagues united around our water story and work collaboratively with water colleagues across the Americas and internationally.
Your key role and responsibilities will include:
- Lead technical designs with planning and engineering teams for the development, design and implementation of nature-based solutions (NbS) for urban water programs to mitigate impacts of development and climate change.
- Review and ensure high quality deliverables related to NbS solutions and programs.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to incorporate technical expertise and community perspectives in conservation planning and NbS designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and pursue funding opportunities for clients for conservation and NbS initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership, consulting, and design expertise in the areas of nature-based solutions, including assessment of co-benefits related to NbS, to our clients and project teams for waterfront, coastal and urban development projects.
- Work with water leadership to enhance operational and growth strategy in the areas of NbS, including identifying target clients and potential internal hires to expand market presence and increase skill sets.
- Lead and co-create technical approaches and win themes with our sales and proposal teams to demonstrate innovative and forward-thinking approaches that will enhance Ramboll’s brand and win success in climate adaptation, resiliency, and water resources projects.
- Enhance Ramboll brand via published papers, partnering engagements with higher education, and/or presentations related to subject matter expertise in NbS implementation.

- M.S Environmental or Civil Engineering or Applied Science degree with 15+ years of experience desired; demonstrated expertise accepted.
- Comprehensive experience in design of nature-based solutions and sustainable development.
- Proven track record of integrating nature-based approaches to address challenges, strengthen resilience, and promote sustainable solutions within diverse water project scopes.
- Strong verbal and written skills.

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual rate between $130,000 – $165,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
