Mott MacDonald Singapore is currently recruiting a Water Engineer (Graduate) to work in our Water sector. Within this role you will support our projects across the entire water cycle, in all sectors, for all types of clients, providing innovative and sustainable solutions. We are focussed on addressing the water sector’s key challenges, including ageing infrastructure, population growth, water scarcity and climate change. We do this by providing smart, safe, and sustainable solutions for water supply, wastewater treatment, and water management.

As part of the role, key responsibilities will include:
- Flooding and sustainable urban drainage projects (using GIS software, hydraulic modelling software and spreadsheets to develop drainage solutions and produce engineering drawings)..
- Wastewater process plant design (Front End Engineering design – FEED for wastewater plants, process optioneering, use of 3D model software for design coordination and development).
- Existing water and drainage projects currently in design & construction – working with senior engineers responding to issues raised by authorities and contractors.
- Business development activities: bid preparation for major water/wastewater projects in the region
About You:
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- Demonstrable interest in the water sector through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules or previous work experience.
- Modules could include GIS, hydraulics, water/wastewater engineering & treatment, water resources engineering etc.
- Strong interest in the water industry and environmental trends/issues in Asia.
- Self-motivated, analytical with a learning mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
- Team player with the ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
- Basic Digital design skills (Autodesk/Bentley), hydraulic modelling (such as EPANET/EPASWMM/TUFLOW), coding/scripting packages or the desire to learn software packages.
- A digital aptitude, strong learning mindset and interest to commit to driving social and sustainable outcomes in all that we do.
- Collaborative, open, and constructive approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A team player who is enthusiastic, driven and committed.
