  • Salary ranges from $120,859.00 to $133,183.00 + super + leave loading

Our Floodplain Management team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to help manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of the floodplain harvesting licensing framework in accordance with the NSW Floodplain Harvesting Policy and associated legislative requirements.

Our Project Officers are tasked with providing a range of project management and support services for the team, including:

  • Preparation of reports and briefs
  • Coordinating resources
  • Maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans
  • Sourcing, collating and compiling data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  • Liaising with project leaders, including water planners, to seek interpretation and explanation, to provide accurate and useful information which enables effective monitoring and management of NSW Water Resource Plans

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

  • Previous demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience in preparing briefs and reports for monitoring and evaluation purposes
  • Willingness to undertake research, analysis, and review of options to inform decision making
  • Well-developed communications skills, both verbal and written, adjustable to a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience with coordinating and managing logistics for project meetings, and other related meetings, to enable their efficient and effective operation

You will also be proficient at communicating effectively and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels both internal and external, prioritising tasks, undertaking pressing organisational requirements within tight deadlines and have a sound understanding of project management.
