Department for Environment and Water
Job reference: 616986
Location: 5000 – ADELAIDE, 5251 – MOUNT BARKER
Job status: Short Term Contract
Eligibility: Open to Everyone
About the Role:
Flows for the Future (F4F) is a fast paced program, with a range of challenging and exciting opportunities to further skills in community engagement, project management and/or contractor management and on-ground works. Team work and adaptability in formulating solutions, aimed at improving catchment health and environmental outcomes, are strong features of working in this Program. The program is responsible for implementing real-world solutions that make a difference to the health of the Eastern Mount Lofty Ranges (EMLR) and also support objectives for the Murray Darling Basin.
The Field Officers specialise in two key areas, landowner participation (engagement) and implementation (construction contract management). The Field Officer roles within the Participation Team are operational, seeking to engage landholders to voluntarily participate in the F4F Program, support community education, and improve management and reporting of water resources in the EMLR. The Field Officer roles within the Implementation Team contribute to the implementation, monitoring and reporting on installation of low flow bypass devices at targeted sites and deliver other on ground works, activities and construction projects aimed at returning low flows on public and private lands across the EMLR.
