Are you passionate about helping nature on Dorset’s rivers and wetlands? We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our river catchment team, working alongside landowners, communities and partner organisations to enable nature recovery. The main areas of this job will be to develop and support volunteer recorders within the Water Guardians scheme and to assist with our Beaver Project through surveys, practical tasks and expanding understanding as beavers return to the county.

We are looking for someone with experience of freshwater wildlife, including habitat and species surveying and preferably practical management. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with land managers, volunteers and community groups as well as partner organisations.

The role is initially for one year, to cover a staff secondment, with potential for extension.
